My 10 year old son loves video games. Recently one of the kids he goes to school with has been telling him that his uncle makes videogames and he has an XBox 360 and a game that my oon would really love to have. Apparently a couple of other boys have gotten in on the act to the point of my son calling Game Stop tonight to see if they had this game. Needless to say, his reaction when he found out the game didn't really exist and the XBox 360 isn't even out yet was not wonderful. I'm afraid of what might happen tomorrow in school. Should I go in the morning and tell the teacher or someone what these boys have been up to before there's a fight or meltdown?

If the teacher is supportive I would. Heck I might anyway. I would consider this a form of teasing and bullying and the teacher needs to know. They are being mean.

First of all, I shall talk how I talk how I talk on the Xbox 360 board for effect in the following sentance: Xbox 360 PWNS n00bs, it roxxors!
Now to the thing that actually matters.

"Should I go in the morning and tell the teacher or someone what these boys have been up to before there's a fight or meltdown?"

Yes, because I garentee you if he is excited about the Xbox 360 as I am, he was on the verge of tears when he found out it's not out yet. I would explain in elaborate detail to the teacher of what happened, and what your sons reaction was to the Gamestop call.

Just plain meanness! Carly would have been heart broken had they been talking about ninetindo. Definitely say something to the teacher. They could discuss in class how this sort of thing is also considered bullying. Flat out lying to purposely hurt someone else's feeling and try to make them the butt of a sick joke.
