Damn. I was halfway through making the list of places I lived in the 60's before I realized you didn't want that, but are making a 'funny'. \:\)

I think I understand the free milk/buy cow argument that mothers use on their daughters, but I often wonder why older men try to put obstacles in the way of younger men. My own theory is jealousy.

Sorry, John, but I cannot see the relevance of this comment? To what are you referring? An earlier post here, or elsewhere? (The only comment I can see that seems even remotely to relate is the one about teaching abstinance.)

That was the connection, but I guess it wasn't that strong. Sorry.

No problem. In defense of old men, I don't think it is THEY who are recommending abstinence. Or maybe, to support those whose point of view is rather different; in comdemnation of old men, I don't think it is THEY who are recommending abstinence.

I LOVE taking both sides in a discussion. \:D

I'm not sure what you mean here, are you referring to breast feeding?

Oh & happy birthday to you

WFM - that is a saying that our mothers teach us almost from the womb. It's meaning is no guy is going to marry you if he is getting what he wants from you without marriage (meaning sex).
Why would someone buy the cow if they are getting the milk free?
I thought every Mom/Dad told their daughters that so it is interesting to me that others have not heard the expression.
