Since I will be homeschooling Elizabeth this year I have been ordering supplies and my daughter is beyond excited to find that she will be using a microscope and other "real scientific" supplies to conduct various experiments. And...I chose her book report books that are about Rocks and Scientists. I'm scared to teach her, but it is awesome to see her actually get excited. Can't wait to play with the microscope myself.

Ideally, school should be play. As the child gets older, she should learn that some effort is necessary in order to get to the next fun part.
