Wow! Thanks again, y'all! I think I can safely rule out Bi-Polar. Jman does not strike me as manic. He speaks of hate, likes to talk for hours about bombs and nukes and war and stuff. Likes to know EVERYTHING about the subject-of-the-moment. Yes, I think I can safely rule out manic/Bi-Polar disorder. Thank you again, guys!

Oh, and here's a question y'all may be able to answer for me. I had a very bad year in 2006 and it stirred up alot of anxiety and agnst and saddness for me and my doc prescribed Lexapro antidepress for me and I was only taking half of what he prescribed because they knock me out cold immediately. So, I decided I'd been on them about six months and it was time to stop because I was feeling better about what had happened and I had already started taking a half about every two or three nights so I just stopped. Now I am a migraine sufferer and on Monday I had such a bad one, it came on within minutes and I went home and slept for six hours. I have been dizzy, fuzzy-headed, light-headed, sick to my stomach...but that's been about two or three weeks. I have been completely off the Lexapro for about that same amount of time. Would one have anything to do with the other? I have an appt this morning with my neuro, but just wanted another opinion from someone who may have walked in my shoes. Thanks! Have a GREAT day!!

If the neuro doesn't suggest it, consider asking if it might be an inner ear infection. Those symptoms sound awfully familiar to what I remember for the ear infection.

I have not had the experience but I know with many drugs you need to gradually wean yourself off of them, cut in dosage in half, then skip a day etc. under Dr. supervision. Otherwise there can be some pretty nasty side effects.

Thanks everyone! I googled my drug and the withdrawals and lo and behold THATS' what it was!!! Very strange feeling! All I can think of is how it must be for a real addict to herion or crack or whatever must feel not only trying to quit but looking for their next hit!! My Neuro is going to keep me on it because she feels that's why I haven't had any strong migraines for so long. She may be right. I am going to take an even smaller dose though and see how that works for me. And at least I know what symptoms to watch for now! I honestly thought I'd had a stroke. Very scary!!

Yes, my niece once needed to receive a heavy dose of steroids to combat a massive, potentially-fatal attack on her immune system.

It took SIX MONTHS before they were able to safely cut off the dosage entirely. They cut back a bit every week for 13 weeks.

It took us almost 2 years to wean Max off his Miralax. I am glad you found out what was happening. Sounds scary!

As I just commented on another topic...
Medications can be debilitation, but so can anxiety, depression, hypteractivity, etc. I was always against medications, but they have been wonderful for me. I still believe that they are best avoided if possible, but if necessary they can be a lifesaver. Unfortunately they all have their side effects, and there is no knowing which one will be right for a person. the trial and error is never fun and can seem like it will never end. If you can do without it, then definately do so. But if not, it can help.
