Sure - I just posted my idea about doing this for ACS - But there's no reason we can't do this for ourselves. Maybe save Mark a little money for bandwith.

I found this list of Aspie/Suspected Aspie musicians: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt20037.html

I can remix all of them, and for Mark, I might lower the standards of the studios I need. Not by much - and there might be some rental fees for necessary gear - but I'm sure that Mark, with perhaps a bit of help from me and Bart, can get most everyone to donate what we need - and Starbucks and Walmart will distribute. We can do this, my friends - and as I said, most stuff will be donated, and I will work for expenses.

Mark has spoken before about trying to advertisw this site. This CD will bring us worldwide press.

Is anyone else interested? There's a lot of paperwork and such to do - in order to secure rights and secure copies of multitrack masters.

I'd really like to see a CD with "ASPERGERINFO.COM" posted across the top and some awesome remixes of favourite songs inside.

Who's onboard?

Do you have any idea how terrifying is the thought that we might end up with 10K new members per day?

-Are you genuinely worried about new memebers?

I am working on Aspie musician stuff - but if we are at cross purposes please let me know. I don't want to screw things up here.

No, but I'm worried a teeny bit about the extra work if everyone wants personal discussions and advice.

We would have to be very clear that everyone needs to read the old posts and advice and only ask for specific help if they cannot find anything on their particular problem. I think the vast majority of those coming here now already do that. What would be really nice is to get more aspie adults helping out with advice, and for that matter, parents of aspies with a successful approach behind them.

I think the concern is appropriate, even given the opportunity - you need to have "cashiers" available for all the new "hamburger buyers" who read all the ads about the new burger joint, so to speak.

I think the CD is a stellar idea. I would hate to see this site get huge and taken over by people and end up like some of the sites I have visited. I am not sure what the answer would be. What say you Mark?

Here's how I see it Linda - It's our site and it stays our site.

People buying a charity CD and listing themselves with us - that doesn't screw it up.

Plus - Do you have AAAAAAAANY idea what a cool mix I can make in 10 hrs in a world-class studio?

You might want to visit when we are doing it - because you could learn a lot just by watching - even though I and my super-experienced friends will be working at breakneck speed.

I especially want to invite Andrew - from Alabama - the Star Wars kid - Lucy's boy - so he has a chance to see what it is all about. Andrew and Lucy will be fine - but they need to see how it's done and that it is done - and that it's not a mystery.

I could ask the Lucas people to offer him a tour if he will be in the area. We kind of all know each other, and my dear friend Mary will be doing a session there soon.

I think the idea is fantastic and have offered V-dog any support I can give. This is an area that I have zero experience with, so like Linda, my support may only be the ability to show up and be a helpful "gopher".

I love the idea that this could help keep our little community going and growing. And I also like the idea that it has the potential to be bigger than just aspergerinfo.com in scope. It has the potential to really raise awareness for AS and in a positive way. I really think it could be a benefit to a lot of people. (Not to mention it would be fun to see V-dog in action!)

So I will definitely be supporting this as much as I can. I only wish I had resources and skills to do more. And I'm not worried about a large influx of new members. I have some thoughts on how we could deal with that in a very positive way and not overwhelm the existing members and good people who volunteer to moderate the board right now.

So if anyone has any thoughts or connections that might help V-dog please post them!

Mark
