I wonder if Mrs Megorium lives in a trailer park? I've only know of 1 or 2 other kids that have been home schooled and none lived in a trailer park. I think the author has her stories mixed up. the running joke in our area, the trailer park kids that live in our area DON'T go to school period, their parents are too drunk, inbred to be able to home school them. the only teachings they get is "incest is best, keep it in the family"
. ok enough of the jokes.
most of the kids that I know of that get homeschooled are from "yuppie" families that are well off and dont need 2 incomes. their education is just as a good as public school if not actually better.
I absolutely loved the left wing gay female academic portray of homeschoolers family. only she could picture a stay home mom looking like that. I get the image of trailer park trash as a morbidly obese woman with cigarette hanging out her mouth in ratty clothes and 12 kids hanging on her.
I also know that not all people who live in trailer parks are trailer park trash, many are actually decent hard working people.
